Transferring your old tapes to either DVD or digital format serves many purposes to the consumer. Here are the two main reasons you should consider the transfer:
- Archiving – Having your videos digitized allows them to be saved virtually forever. Put them on an external HDD and store that in a safe place. I keep a backup of mine in a fire safe to assure that they are safe for generations to come.
